A simple porch and mudroom addition that make a whole world of difference to the functionality and added curb appeal to an otherwise simple ranch house.....

About the Images

We hope that this shows you that no matter how small the project is, we place our utmost passion and attention to the smallest detail of the project.....

Before/ Existing house:

The original house's side entry into the kitchen led directly into the kitchen. There was no overhang to sheield one against rain or snow before opening the door.

After/ Porch-Mudroom addition:

A PRACTICAL Architectural solution

A simple gable form placed to the side of the existing kitchen entrance allowed for a 60 sq. ft. enclosed mudroom space  and a 60 sq. ft. entry porch.

The entry porch enables a covered approach as one enters the house and as an added bonus, offers an invaluable covered porch area that serves as an informal and yet intimate outdoor room....

The mudroom provides a transition before one enters the kitchen, where one can remove (and store) the outdoor gear before entering the house proper...an invaluable added space to relief the kitchen. This 60 sq. ft. space is also planned with lots of storage compartments - which will act as an added pantry/ storgae area for the much used kitchen...

Tune in for more photos of the mudroom interior...
